Third Friday Art Walk

Every Third Friday | 5-9 PM | May - October

Looking for a fun, family-friendly evening? Come out to the Third Friday Art Walk—where creativity comes to life on 6th Street in Strawberry Hill, Downtown KCK!

Whether you’re an art lover, a foodie, or just looking for a good time, there’s something for everyone at the Third Friday Art Walk. It's creative, inclusive, community-centered, and totally FREE to attend.

What to Expect

Event Address:

609 North 6th Street, Kansas City, KS 66101

Free Parking:

Park at the Unified Government parking lots at 6th & Barnett or Splitlog Coffee Co. Then, take a stroll down 6th Street and immerse yourself in a lively, ever-changing atmosphere filled with art, food, and music!

Pop-Up Art Exhibits:

Local businesses become mini art galleries, showcasing local artists in unique spaces. Many businesses also host special events throughout the night—check the map for a list of participating locations!

Street Gallery:

Each month, we shut down portions of 6th Street to create a "Street Gallery". Start your walk at EPIC Clay Studio and explore creative vendors, art, and interactive experiences within the road closure.

Get Involved

Street Vendors

For local artists, makers, creators, and small businesses! Our event features up to 80 vendors each month offering handmade, original, and locally crafted art and goods. You don’t need prior vending experience. (Nonprofits can apply starting April 1)

Interactive Art

For local artists, collectives and galleries! Our event features pop-up exhibits, installations, live art, demos, workshops, and art experiences. Each event will feature diverse art activities for our community to engage and participate in.

Food & Drink

For local food and drink vendors. We know that Wyandotte County has one of the best culinary scenes in the KC metro area! We’re looking for a variety of cuisine types that reflect all of Wyandotte County!

Entertainment

Local performers and entertainers bring the energy and good vibes to the Third Friday Art Walk. Whether it’s live music, dancing, aerial arts, or spoken word, there are plenty of ways to engage the community and showcase your talent.

2025 Season Highlights

The 2025 Third Friday Art Walk was another incredible season! Thanks to the creativity, contributions and support of our local artists, makers, businesses, performers, vendors, nonprofits, and sponsors, we were able to bring art, music, and community experiences to 6th Street for another season!

  • Local Artists & Makers: 50+ artists brought the streets to life with handmade art, demos, and live creations.
  • Art Competitions: 140+ submissions showcased bold, emerging, and established talent.
  • Performers & Entertainment: 20+ acts energized 6th Street with music, dance, performance, and interactive experiences.
  • Community & Businesses: 10+ Strawberry Hill businesses hosted activities, pop-ups and offered special deals for 1,000+ attendees.
